Biography

The group Pé na Terra was born in 2005 with three elements: Cristina Castro, Ricardo Coelho e Tiago Soares. With strong influence in gathering and interpreting traditional portuguese themes and in creating original themes, this project only used traditional local instruments.
In 2006 the group reforms with three new members, Tânia Pires, Rui Leal and Rui Pedro. They tour Portugal and Spain playing on various stages, in bars and in festivals.
In 2007 the group undergoes new changes. Maintaining the initial members, Adérito Pinto and Hélio Ribeiro join the group, they came from distinct musical backgrounds such as rock and metal, bringing in their baggage an electric bass guitar and an electro-acustic guitar which contributed to the group’s new sound.
These interlaced ideas are in keeping with the actual revolutionary movement of traditional music, with great acceptance by the general public. This led to the recording and publishing of the first album at the end of 2007.
