Bio
Penny Oestmann lives in Syracuse, Nebraska with her husband, Mark and two daughters, Ashley and Casey. Having been involved in music her entire life she only recently began to compose her own music to express her personal feelings to God. She describes her songs as “feelings” and not just words. As a sufferer of a nerve disorder called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, her experience with continual pain has pointed her in a new direction and a closer relationship to God. Penny finds that through her music, she has a release from the pain and a joy like none other. In sharing these personal thoughts and feelings, Penny hopes to help someone else in their daily struggle to find the peace that only a stronger relationship with our Lord can offer. She enjoys the support of a loving family, and a loving Church home in Syracuse where she performs regularly.
The collection “Resurrection” was recorded at Pulse River Studio, Beresford, SD and produced by Larry Olson and Scott Jibben of Dakota Road music whose creative talents enriched the music with background vocals and instrumentation. The music is a variety of vocals with piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, synthesizer, and drums. Different moods, tempos and feelings are expressed. Her music has been called soothing, inspiring, and enriching.
