"Fandango Performs At Creekside Cafe"

She calls herself "The Bad Girl of Banjo." Charleston recording artist and performer Pepper Fandango made an appearance at Creekside Cafe, Saturday, May 7th, 2011.

Fandago entertained a packed house at the Hurricane venue, much to the delight of the hundreds in the crowd who gathered in the music room.

"She's awesome," says Laura Isleman, of Culloden. "My boyfriend brought me after he heard her in Charleston. The girl can really sing."

"We love to bring in a variety of local artists," says Creekside Cafe owner/operator Billy Price. "West Virginia has some great talent."

If you think Creekside is just a bar, you're missing out on some great food, some great music, and some great times.

Saturday, May 14th, Almost Adam will take the stage starting at 10:00 p.m. For more information about that event and other artists, you can telephone Creekside Cafe at 304-562-2494. - http://www.putnamlive.com

Bio

Pepper Fandango Band from Charleston WV is a 3-piece rock band fronted by Andrea Anderson, writes songs, sings and plays an electric tenor banjo that she made herself.
Punk and metal influenced bass player Andy Jones and drummer Dave Roberts, known for his subtle polyrhythmic and in-the-pocket grooves, round out the rest of the band.

Their music could be described as edgy blues-based rock, with a twist of female sass.
They are currently recording an LP, and playing local and regional venues.

Andrea has also worked with Razor Sharp Studios, a WV based horror movie production company. She worked on the musical score for "Porkchop" the movie, and the sequel, "Porkchops"
