Per Diem

BandRockMetal

Very energetic and listenable hard rock with attitude

Biography

Per Diem is up-tempo, listenable hard rock/metal. The vocals are aggressively driving to illustrate the passion of the stories that make up the songs.

With Per Diem, it’s not personal, just business. Cliché? YES, but this Detroit band is getting ready to compete. For Paul and Jeff, they are at a point in their lives where it’s time to get things done. And for Jeff, it’s time to speak his mind.

Lead singer Jeff Karczewski states, “To me, it’s honestly just like sports…we’re the team gunning for those at the top.”

Per Diem is going to challenge everything because it needs to happen. Karczewski states, “Too many bands/artists are making a mockery of the system…where is the integrity in the music industry if crap bands and artists get all the attention? I respect the individuals who have worked very hard to attain a level of success in the rap/hip hop and rock communities, but that doesn’t mean I can’t challenge them if I don’t agree with their message, or I think they are weak. I think it’s time to expect far more out of artists. There are important issues that need to start getting talked about, like how our government, along with corporate America, are together ruining this economy, allowing wealth to move to China, India and other countries in the name of greed. The terrible poverty and sadness in Ethiopia needs to be handled. Issues surrounding toxic water and food are seriously affecting Americans' health. I don’t care if other artists or industry people scoff at me and the band…I know I’m doing the right thing.”

Musically, Per Diem is led by Paul Adams. Paul directs all aspects surrounding the writing, recording, production and performance. He is very confident in his talent. Critics will say that the greatest rock bands of all time (Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Nirvana) had all members contributing together, thus making it “special.” However, aren’t results all that matter? At this time, musically, Per Diem is using this very focused approach under the guidance of Paul Adams to work with dozens of songs. In the future, Paul is not opposed to collaborating with musicians for songwriting.

Per Diem is actively recruiting the right members for the band. Industry professionals will not have to worry about budgeting for musicians.

All in all, Per Diem’s vision is to have their sound translate into an intense live experience for the fans. Per Diem has a very focused and professional attitude to the job at hand. The music industry professionals that choose to work with Per Diem will not be let down.

Lyrics

Revolution

Written By: Per Diem

(Intro)
We must take back control
Complete domination
This or we die...this or we die

(Verse 1)
Now it’s time to realize
What we think is not always what we
Get down and dirty
Let’s kick them out...kick them out
They don’t dictate, it’s okay to hate

(Pre-Chorus)
The enemy makes poverty in this great society...the enemy...the enemy
What you gonna do and then they do it again
What you gonna do and then you see it again
What you gonna do today?...stand up and scream...stand up and scream (scream)

(Chorus)
Revolution...revolution
Want my money to stay right home
C’mon America, in case you can’t discern our country’s here, not over there
Revolution...revolution
Want my money to stay right home
C’mon America, it’s finally time to realize...poverty (poverty)

(Verse 2)
Stop being swindled
Seems like all we make are weak excuses
More excuses
No more lies...no more lies
What’s our fate?, it’s okay to hate

(Pre-Chorus)

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
(Made to be) malcontent (malcontent)
(Made to be) malcontent (malcontent)
Push back I will not accept it...I don’t know what to do now
Push back I will not accept it...I don’t know where to go now
Push back I will not accept it...I don’t know what to be now
Push back I am malcontentious...Tell what do I do now
I only hate, I only hate, I only hate, I only hate- (I only hate)
I only hate you when you take from me
I only hate you when you lie- (lie)

(Chorus)

(Outro)
Now it’s time to realize
What we think is not always what we
Get down and dirty
Revolution

So Much To Prove

Written By: Per Diem

(oh-, let me in-)

(Verse 1)
I- fit another piece of the puzzle
and I don't wanna die without this
and you are too much to lose all that I do is hope for you
I- wake up just to run in the darkness
and all I think about is your radiance
and it is all in my mind, all in my mind, you haven't let in (oh-, let me in-)

(Chorus)
so much to prove
so little time to get it through
counting down my life
cause I don't want to fail
I don't want to

(oh-, let me in-)

(Verse 2)
I- am spinning in a race to nothing
and I won't let the doubt consume me
and the battle inside me keeps it's rage but I push for you
I- brainwash myself into numbness
and I am so naive not to know this
and it is all in my mind, all in my mind, you haven't let me in (oh-, let me in-)

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
do you believe?
where'd you go and why'd you leave me?
I just run from all my senses
a glow is closing
I fell into dependence
somebody's touching
I turn I am defenseless
where did my fear go?
tell me what's upstairs
tell me what is in there
tell me what do you know
the fuck with what you know, let's just go
cause I don't want to know, I don't want to know, I don't want to know, I don't want to know (I don't want to know)
no, hell no, I won't let you go
hell no, I won't let you go
hell no, I won't let you go
hell no, I won't let you go, go, go

(Chorus)

(I don't want to fail-)
