Bio
Pete Arnett grew up in the Detroit area where he initially performed in local coffeehouses and bars. He has played in many other venues in East Lansing Michigan, Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin, Pullman Washington, and State College Pennsylvania, and is the past winner of State College Acoustic Brew's Local Songwriter's Showcase. He also received Honorable Mention in the SongDoor 2008 International Songwriting Competition, and was a semi-finalist in the 2009 UK Songwriting Contest. His songs focus on love and friendship, and other universal themes in life. He often incorporates visual images of nature in his lyrics to help create a compelling context for the theme of the song. He is often inspired to write by simple events in life that evoke powerful emotions.
