Bio

Pete Brag was the mastermind behind the the urban rock pioneer band Plastique, which was signed to Rawkus Entertainment (Mos Def, Talib Kweli.) Plastique scored a college hit with the single Touch Someone?, recorded the rap/rock classic Ill Fate?, an album that was never released by Rawkus but is still sold and traded online like a cult item, and was then was signed to label The Music Cartel, where the band scored another college hit with the song Too Much? featuring futuristic rapper Phoenix Orion.

Having made been released worldwide and even made some critics' top ten album lists (including Billboard and the New York Post), Plastique garnered many fans in and outside the industry, among them The Rza from the Wu-Tang Clan, who said in an interview, "I've toured with top rock bands and from what I've seen, Plastique is right up there with them." Pete and Plastique are now considered masters and originators of what has become rap/rock...so much so that Pete Brag has been hired by to do rock remixes for major hip-hop stars including Notorious B.I.G. and conversely, his songs have been remixed by electronic artists like The Crystal Method.
Written, performed, recorded, produced alone over the course of a year in his apartment in New York City's Lower East Side using only a drum machine, "Killa Beatz"? is an album unlike anything ever heard before; mixing not only incredible beats and killer guitar riffs (hence the name Killa Beatz) but also songs and a voice that stands up to the great rock artists of the past and present.
Known for fearlessly following his musical vision and having been asked repeatedly over the years to record a solo record with his signature sound, Pete has given birth to "Killa Beatz,"? a true 21st century rock n'roll album, recorded hip-hop style using only a drum machine. "Killa Beatz" was then mixed on analog 2 inch tape by Josh Chervokas (mixer for Tu Pac Shakur, Mobb Deep and Madonna among others) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (who's mastered everyone from Nirvana to Public Enemy)
