Bio

Just a few short years ago, Pete Good was dangerously close to abandoning his true and still undeveloped passions in order to follow the beaten path. Upon graduation from college, Pete had planned on entering Chiropractic school with a four-year degree in Biology. However, something was holding him back…he knew something greater was in store for his future. Trusting his fate to something higher and longing to understand his current circumstances and wide open future, Pete turned to his guitar. He had played since fourth grade, but suddenly a new passion for it had been lit and he began playing fervently.

Pete’s guitar playing progressed rapidly, thanks to influences such as Dave Matthews Band, and he eagerly shared this passion with everyone around him. Pete then began writing lyrics and singing in secret. He, had never considered himself a singer or a songwriter, but something kept him going until he found himself with a handful of songs waiting to be heard. Friends pleaded with Pete to hear them, but he wouldn’t sing a note-not yet.

Always the entertainer and the first to make fun of himself, Pete can also have a serious and contemplative side. He began recording rough mixes to his songs, but didn’t want to expose them until he felt they were fully developed. After months in the studio and hundreds of improvements, the time for the revealing had come. Close friends were the first to hear his work, and immediately the requests to hear more poured in. Soon after, Pete had his first concert debut, opening for Shawn McDonald (Sparrow Records), and revealed a stage presence similar to that of a lifelong performer. Locals who hear Pete for the first time fall in love with the lyrics, the music, the story, and the person. Pete has since been busy taking his lanky 6’5” stature and strong groove to local bars, cafes, and festivals, revealing his smooth yet raspy voice and novel lyrics and leaving fans wanting more.

When not performing, Pete will be found being a typical 23 year old-playing music, fighting adulthood, questioning everything, and dreaming of what’s to come. People close to Pete are aware of his unique talents and sure of his bright future, but he takes nothing for granted. Ever critical of his own work, Pete works endlessly to improve his work and is determined to follow the path set before him, whatever that may be, let’s hope it involves more music.
