Bio

Pete Gunn & The .357s is a 5 piece American rock band that draws inspiration from all facets of the musical spectrum, touching on classic country, hip hop, reggae, ska, funk, classic rock and blues all blended with a modern edge. The band was formed in late 2010 by Pete "The Gunn" Krupka after completion of his first solo album "Get Shot or Die Tryin". Krupka hand picked musicians he had worked with in the past as well as some fresh faces. Chris Merenda was the first one to join. A seasoned veteran of many styles and many instruments, Merenda has played with Krupka in many projects including Chris Merenda and the Wheel where Krupka plays, bass guitar, percussion and drums. Chris Merenda plays many instruments through many different genres including his rock bands "Chewey" and "Skarotum" where Chris Played guitar and lead vocals, he has also played drums for Arlo Guthrie and was the drummer for the band "The Mammals". After recording, producing and even performing on many of the tracks on Pete Gunn's album, Chris Merenda was the obvious choice to fill the drum throne. Next up was Josh Pisano. Pisano and Krupka have worked together through various bands including The Longview Gunslingers where the duo had the pleasure of playing the parts of dual drummers for the last 7 years. Pisano also plays drums for the blues band Big Rooster, where Pete Gunn plays bass and sings. Chris Gennari was the next member added, a relatively new player in the western mass music scene, the connection between Gennari and Krupka was instant and a great addition to the band, with Gennari's guitar licks complementing Krupka's unique rhythm guitar style perfectly. Last but not least was Mark Geyer, a very well rounded musician that grew up with in Hancock, ma along side of Krupka. Mark has been playing piano, guitar, bass and many other instruments since he was a child and rounded out the rhythm section of the .357s while holding down the low end not just on the bass but also with his baritone vocals. Put it all together and you get "Pete Gunn and The .357s". With so many different musicians drawing from so many different experiences both shared and apart, this band was able to explode into the unstoppable and undeniably solid band that it is today. So be sure to be ready to get on up and get on down when ever these guys are on stage, when they play dancing is not an option, its a reaction.
