Pete Lombardo is a young, energetic, and talented guitarist. He is highly skilled in numerous musical styles and plays well beyond his years. Pete is also a skilled teacher, composer, and arranger. This guitarist is wowing audiences nationwide with his advanced guitar playing and raw energy!

Biography

Pete Lombardo
Guitarist/Musician/Composer/Teacher

Born in San Francisco, California and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Pete Lombardo began playing at age 13 inspired by the sounds of Robert Johnson and Jimi Hendrix, among others. With the encouragement of family and friends, continued to pursue music and performed on a regular basis starting at the age of 15. Pete began teaching guitar at the age of 16 and has consistently maintained students since that time.

Pete studied music and guitar at Webster University in St. Louis, pursuing the Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Jazz Performance. Studying with Dave Black, Dan Rubright, Tom Byrne, Steve Schenkel, and Paul Demarinis, among others.

The current group that Pete tours nationally full time with is San Diego's "On the One" winner of "Best Jazz Album" at the 2007 San Diego Music Awards. Pete leads his own group in St. Louis when not touring, called "Elastik Soul" playing all of the local venues including venues in surrounding cities.

Pete has co-billed with artists such as: Jeff Coffin, Felix Pastorius, Roy "Futureman" Wooten, Chris Walthers, Tea Leaf Green, The Disco Biscuits, Karl Denson, Bonerama, Ivan Neville, and most recently Earth, Wind, & Fire
