Bio

My name is Pete Noone and I am a singer/ songwriter. I have no formal musical education and I write all my own songs. Music to me is not about technical ability, but how it feels. I believe the best music is written by those who cannot only hear it, but feel it. I write songs, but not because i feel compelled to or would "die" if i could not. Nor do i want to change the world with my lyrics. (It would be great if i could, but it's not me) I simply write songs because I can and i find it not only enjoyable but relaxing. It also helps me to remember events in my life. Only recently have i started showing my work, and my first real attempt at seriously recording (still rough) is Matchmaker. My musical influences range from the Beach Boys and their great harmonies to Billy Joel, The Eagles, America, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Keith Urban, Graham Connors, Colbie Callait and The Corrs (this is not limiting it to those, but they are certainly prominent) However I don't think my style is any one of these. I am told it is quite unique in its melodies and easy nature. Funnily enough do not listen to a lot of music, but prefer creating my own.
The Band
Timothy Khalil is the musical genius behind the Electric Guitar and Bass Guitar as well as helping to get this track down. He worked with me to clean it up and make it recordable. He also volunteered to help me record it, and thus we became a band. I have frustrated him no end with my lack of musical knowledge and erratic timing. However, he has patiently borne it all and finally helped me to lay a track down, rather than a demo. I can not speak highly enough of his ability to feel music and not just play.
My brother Mike is the drummer who I chose because he also has a way to feel the music and play accordingly.
I have done a few solo "gigs" which were well received and look forward to more opportunities. I must also acknowledge my dad who has played a big role in critiquing my music and none of this could be possible without his advice and support.
