Bio

Peter and the Twins are racing out of the gates. Lifelong friends, after only 4 months the 3-piece band had created an original sound and style, written, recorded, and pressed an album, and independently booked and promoted a tour. --Front man Peter Stewart explains, "We figure, we are fortunate enough to be in a place where we can really try to make this thing work for at least a few years, while at the same time doing what we love to do... so why not give it everything we've got while we can?" --Their debut album "Do Something" is a very impressive 1st effort, and it has something for almost everyone. For sprouting from a love of 90s alternative rock and punk, alongside classic artists such as Warren Zevon, Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones, its variety is uncanny. --The sound and style of the album, and its artwork- masterfully created by local legend Jonathan Stavole, accurately captures the charisma of the band's personality. --Peter states, "We are lucky in that we are not limited by many of the problems which tend to plague bands; Andy and Roger being twin brothers means they agree on just about everything. Since we're a 3 piece it's a simple majority rules- either we all agree, or I lose [laughs]." --After the release of the album, and the subsequent 3 week Midwestern tour, Stewart took time off from the band, and moved to Guatemala to learn to sing in Spanish. The months spent there turned out to be an experiment with the world market. --After Peter and the Twins songs created a buzz on local radio stations, Stewart was invited to perform on the prime-time music television show El Enchufre. The television appearance and concerts which followed proved the bands' sound appealing, regardless of language barriers. --The band is setting aside another 4 or 5 weeks for touring this spring and summer to promote "Do Something" and to road test their new material. "Do Something" is available online at itunes, Amazon, and CDbaby
