Peter Forbes

Having cut his teeth performing across Canada with Northwest Division and The Rude Mechanicals, Peter Forbes has returned home, putting together a band of some of Charlottetown's finest to perform alternative, psychedelic and twee influenced rock.

The group's recent debut "Love Is All Around" introduces a band who wear their experience on their sleeves, delivering five endearing songs that demand multiple listens. Recorded in Charlottetown with local engineer Adam Gallant, The 5-track EP has been getting good reviews online and is described by music blogs as having a 'lo-fi pop sound.' The single She's So Cool was selected to be part of the ECMA 2014 Rocks and Roots compilation. The EP is available online through Bandcamp, with a limited edition of 50 discs for sale at Charlottetown locations Back Alley Music and the Green Man. The physical album is reflective of Peter's DIY aesthetic, made with original artwork and a card stock sleeve.

Peter Forbes and his band play throughout Charlottetown and have most recently opened for the Haunted Hearts at Hunters and performed a Music PEI showcase for ECMW 2014. With hooks warmer than an island summer, Peter Forbes and band promise to be one of Prince Edward Island's most exciting new acts.
