The Peter James Project is an Irish/New Zealand/Toronto mix band that plays a pop/rock/ska sound with influences like: Crowded House, The Smiths, and the Dave Matthews Band.
As luck would have it, though traffic caused me to be late by half an hour, I missed none of their set. The HD camera was brought for some filming, but it was uncharged, however, some footage was still captured of the Peter James Project.
The Peter James project was technically crisp and band had their chops down. Peter James vocals were crystal clear and the lyrics were easy to follow.

One of the common errors that people assume about writers, is that they forget about the music artist/group as soon as the article is published or when the interview is finished. Not true, for me at least.
If you go back to my 2nd Examiner article, the featured band was Peter James Project who were playing at Mitzi's Sister. A great show, club, and people. Through the social media of Facebook, I've been able to keep track of their progress as indie music artists.
The Peter James Project plays a brand of high energy rock with thought provoking lyrics within a pop vibe. The singer/guitarist Peter James Fox, has a bright melodic tone to his vocals, that has a taste of his homeland (Ireland) in the sound. The band is solid and is capable of rocking out with the best of them, or bringing down many notches for a quiet ballad. One thing that stuck out in their live performance, was that they were enjoyed performing the music with each other, trying different bridges or solos with big grins on their faces. Few things in the music world get me as excited, is when you notice the artist(s) performing for the pure joy of it.
