Peter Kalla is a singer songwriter raised on a farm in rural Western New York. He has miles and miles of stories in his songs and many experiences to share about his life,laughter sorrows and heartbreaks. He slowly turned to singer songwriters in the early 70's namely Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris,Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell and Townes Van Zandt.
Peter lived in California where he met Gram Parsons two weeks before Gram died. There he was influenced alot by the early california country rock s


Peter later toured as a solo acoustic performer in Western Canada in Vancouver,Alberta in his beat up cargo van , Yes in the winter time January thru April.
He finally moved to Austin Texas in 2005. The last five years he has been building his songwriting dates around the hill country.
He just finished tour dates feb thru april 2012 thru Tasmania/Australia and his cd is being played on three radio shows plus a on air interview on Tamar fm 95.3 in george town/ tasmania. He also will have his cd "The Calico Kid" to be reviewed in "The Sauce" music mag in Tassie coming out soon.He has played The republic bar in Hobart, Brookfield Margate in margate,Friday nite folk inSheffield and the Royal oak in Laucenston.

1987 he got his 1st songwriter royality check from BMI for his performance on CBS 48 hrs about the story of Nashville with his song"Oklahoma is a State of Mind"

1985 Toured for USO in Europe and Egypt

2010 Feb released "Love Lost Ways" single on the Acoustic Rainbow comp cd to 1500 radio stations world wide

July 2011, I wrote the song "Cinderella aint gonna live here anymore" recorded,released and sung by jenny terry as heard on her web site
