Bio

Rollin On Down The Lane will be the third studio album by Milan based, Australian singer/guitarist Pete Ross and introduces New Zealander bassist/vocalist Susy Sapphire. Produced by French punk rocker Dimi Dero, and featuring Il GENIO members Gianluca De Rubertis (keys) and Andrea Rizzo (drums), the album was recorded live at Sudest Studio (Lecce), mixed by Ivan Rossi (Pooh, Zen Circus) and mastered by Giovanni Versari (Nautilus).

Taking inspiration from such diverse sources as Nick Cave, The Velvet Underground and The Drones, the album evolved from a dark and deadly trilogy written by Ross & Sapphire, combining stories of misfortune, disbelief and regret. Rollin On Down The Lane also contains a cover of Tom Wait’s “Jesus Gonna Be Here and a contemporary arrangement of the much loved Townes Van Zandt song, Rake.

In 2011, Pete’s second album Midnight Show was released on 12” vinyl through French label Beast Records. It was described as a psychedelic spaghetti western soundtrack, and featured guests Gianluca De Rubertis, Roberto Dell’Era (Afterhours) and Enrico Gabrielli (Calibro 35) and was mixed by Tommaso Colliva (Muse, Afterhours). Pete's 2009 debut album Six String Suicide was recorded in Australia with his former band The Paesanos and released in Italy through Halidon Music SRL.

Since 2008, Pete has been playing live through out Europe, America and Australia. Highlights have included SXSW (USA 2010), Mirande Music Festival (FR 2010), Binic Folk Blues Festival (FR 2010 & 2011), Festival Des Alpilles (FR 2011) and 3 performances on RAI International (IT). In Australia Pete toured extensively as a guitarist with successful EMI artist Dan Brodie
