"P E T I T E – NUVO-JAZZY POP SINGER/SONGWRITE"

P E T I T E is a singer-songwriter, producing Nuvo-Jazzy pop in French and English. Leading it with angelic childlike vocals, oddly enough compared to a post-modern Mia Farrow with a Brigitte Bardot allure.

P E T I T E co-founded the band Terry Poison, performing worldwide, releasing such singles as “Comme Ci Comme Ca”. The band opened for Depeche Mode and played in various festivals such as SXSW, CMJ and Rock en Seine.

As a solo artist, P E T I T E has opened for such acts as MARK RONSON, THE HURTS and UFFIE.
Following last autumn buzzed-about video for “NYC Time” which premiered at NY Fashion Week 2012 and was widely reviewed, P E T I T E spent most of her time in Paris collaborating with the french bands “NAIVE NEW BEATERS” and “CALL ME SENOR”, and with various artists she admires such as the photographers Napoleon Habeica, Dimitri Coste and the upcoming young designers Costello Tagliapietra.

P E T I T E’s new seductive video was directed by A.T. Mann and J. Bolandi, it features Petite riding a massive computer mouse and Brooklyn-born dance-rapper Shamel Pitts dancing on a giant keyboard.

"Watch: Insanely Awesome French Singer Petite Meller Releases A Steve Jobs-Inspired"

Y’all may or may not remember the name ‘Petite Meller‘ but back in September she kinda rocked my world with her awesome video for NYC Time. A French singer (who used to be a Philosophy student), Petite is really one-of-a-kind. She just released a new video for her song Stevie Jobs and it’s just as weird and cool and as fun as NYC Time, although the song has more of an up-tempo sound. Technology, hip-hop, and ladies in New Balance sneakers collide in the Steve Jobs-inspired visuals. Peep the video for more! - Pink Is The New Blog (SPIN MAGAZINE)

"Watch: Petite Meller’s ‘NYC Time’ Video Is The Coolest, Weirdest, ‘American Apparel’-est Thing Ever It's... Magical"

I Feel The Magic

PITNBRS, I think I’ve just found a cure for the Mondays. Seriously! Ten minutes ago, I’d never heard the name ‘Petite Meller,’ and now, I’m patiently awaiting a response to my Facebook Friend Request, lol. Who is this singer?! And why is her new track, NYC Time, currently on repeat? The singer (who apparently has a MA in Philosophy) got some help from Napoleon Habeica for this video– this guy invented the American Apparel marketing campaigns, and you can totally see the influence in the visuals. I love it!Oh, and A.T. Mann co-directed. I also love that some anonymous man of color is carrying her to NYC. Where she is then joined by a group of anonymous more um men of color… and later hangs out with cops… also men of color. LMAO. I dunno, I might hate that. Haven’t decided yet. But, on the whole, I def love this video, and the song is absolutely my new jam. Checkie out!

"Video – Petite Meller : NYC Time"

A.T. Mann (the Director behind Tiger Love’s “Summer Rain”, “Gio Gio”) & Napoleon Habeica (the well-known fashion photographer behind the American Apparel ad campaigns) direct this new music video for “NYC Time” by PETITE - the ex -lead vocalist of electro-pop cult band Terry Poison. The video pays homage to Petite’s love affair with NYC and Napoleon Habeica’s love affair with American Apparel, running on memoirs from Antonioni’s ‘Eclipse’ to David Hamilton’s sexy socks in sandals. - DISCOSALT

"NEXT BIG THING : PETITE MELLER"

"First Exposure : Petite Meller"

"Pushing the unconscious libidinal dream into reality"
"Her songs are existential exercises in trying to understand how we thin, feel and interact, all wrapped up in gauzy, almost cloyingly sweet music-box sounds and aesthetic that marries the childlike with the overtly sexual." (Dazed and Confused, January 2013).

- SURL MAGAZINE

"PETITE MELLER – NYC Time"

The harmonious and catchy track “NYC Time” by PETITE MELLER receives an artistic visual interpretation from A.T. Mann and Napoleon Habeica. Habeica, who is the brains behind the American Apparel campaigns, created a video homage to NYC alongside Mann along with a stylized theme around the Los Angeles clothing brand. Watch the clip above to see PETITE get carried around the Big Apple by an unknown associate. - HYPTRAK

Bio

P E T I T E is a singer-songwriter, producing Nuvo-Jazzy pop in French and English. Leading it with angelic childlike vocal, a combo of philoshophical lyrics in a surealistic state of mind. Oddly enough compared to a post-modern Mia Farrow with a Brigitte Bardot allure.

P E T I T E debut video “NYC TIME”, co-directed by A.T.Mann & Mexican photographer NAPOLEON HABEICA (American Apparel), was a youtube hit inspired by David Hamilton’s esthetics and represents the Voyage of rhythm to NYC.

Releasing a second video by the name of "Stevie Jobs"
and performing worldwide, P E T I T E's videos were screaned on Alishia Trimble's fashion show on the SummerSpring 2013 NYFW.

In her first solo project P E T I T E has already opened for such acts as Mark Ronson, Hurts, and Uffie. She appeared in campaigns for "L'Oreal", Vogue, Another Magazine and Dazed and Confused.
