BandRockPunk

Loud, intense, punk rock / grunge. Perfect music for any occasion including but not limited to: clubs, festivals, birthday parties, and high school graduations. All in all music for everyone. Petrol rocks so hard they're studied by geologists!

Biography

What to say about a band that started in the small mountain town of Glenwood Springs, CO. Possibly, the best quote to sum it up comes from the Police Department of Glenwood following a Petrol show. After winning Battle of the Band 2009 Petrol played on the main stage for the headlining act. After their 80 minute onslaught of original material the police were prompted to say the following at a chamber of commerce meeting,” I don't know what the promoter’s problem is getting some damn headbanging band up there. Why couldn't they have got some nice Jimmy Buffet cover band? Instead they have this loud punk band playing getting everyone riled up and out of control. They are horrible."

Petrol has a unique blend of punk / grunge / hardcore / metal that is difficult to describe. Basically, they are not "punk" enough to be punk, not "heavy" or "evil" enough to be metal, and don't live in the Pacific Northwest thus ruling out grunge. Instead think of Petrol as a unique hybrid blend. Influences range from Nirvana, Black Flag, Sex Pistols, Korn, Sepultura, Weezer, Green Day, The Beatles, yada yada yada.

What really sets Petrol apart is the intense feeling of punk music, with song structure and hooks that stick in your head (a la pop music). Petrol is said to rock so hard they are studied by geologists.

Picture Perfect

Written By: Anderson

Another day,
just like the one before.
I leave my will,
and soul outside my door.
This like I lead is starting to get me,
to fuck it all it's never going to be

Exactly what we planned.
But in the end we'll always have,
the dreams inside our heads.
To loose ourselves and make-believe
that we're just doing fine.
That life's a little ride,
and we can look at all we see.
And never realize everything
is fucked up.

Another gone,
what are we going to do?
Just plan the next,
and pray it isn't soon.
My courage,
is starting to fall out.
Of favor with my youth
and age is not

Exactly what we planned.
But in the end we'll always have,
the dreams inside our heads.
To loose ourselves and make-believe

All is picture perfect.
All is picture perfect and just fine.

Another day,
just like the one before.
Except I stop myself
before the door.
We're through you see
we've had it up to here.
So fuck yourself,
your rules, and disappear.

Cause it's not quite
what we planned.
But in the end,
we're gonna take
these dreams inside our heads.
And with you gone
we can believe that...

All is picture perfect
All is picture perfect and just fine.

No Parties For Patrick

Standing in a corner,
away from life.
There is no effort,
but still he cries.

It gives good conversation.

"Mommy, nobody likes me."
A desolate whine.
There is no effort,
but still he cries.

It gives good conversation.

Don't talk to me.
Don't talk to me.
Don't talk to me.

Don't go by strangers.
They might just kill you.
It happened to that one kid.
You know....that one kid.

It gives good conversation.

Please

Seeing my reflection,
never in perception.
Seeing my reflection,
very light complexion.

Hey.

Complicated measures,
built to fit my pleasure.
Complicated measures,
they are not so clever.

Stay.

Seeing my reflection,
never in perception.
Seeing my reflection,
very light complexion.

Hey.
