Após uma consistente trajetória (vinte anos) exercendo a função de compositor e vocalista do The Fuzzy Nerds, o grego Petros Fuzzhead vem com um brilhante trabalho solo, denominado “The War Is Near”. Temos onze canções com o mote alternativo clássico do indie tradicional e pós-punk-retrô, repletas de camadas atmosféricas e vocais etéreos, como na efervescente “The Secret Of The Holy Bean”, exalando impactos sensoriais por todos os poros!

O clima que beira a lisergia, é magistralmente contagiante! “I Know Who You Are” bebe na década de setenta, em um petardo que descamba para os hard-rock mais pesados do período, além de uma transição melódica que flerta novamente com ares progressivos… Como podemos perceber, a diversidade fala mais alto por aqui! Petros realmente quis experimentar TUDO que a experiência com os The Fuzzy Nerds não davam brecha. E CONSEGUE! A experimentalidade primorosa com a encore/vinheta de “And That’s How It Ends”, é o encerramento perfeito para uma grande obra concebida. Der griechische Künstler Petros Fuzzhead veröffentlichte kürzlich ein neues Album mit dem Titel ‘The War Is Near’, von welchem wir euch den Track 'Lobotomy' vorstellen möchten. Eines ist sicher, wer auf anspruchsvollen und spannungsreichen Indie / Alternative Rock steht kommt an diesem Song garantiert nicht vorbei. Keines Falls vermissen wollten wir hierbei die wunderbaren Gitarren Loops, die sich nicht nur durch das komplette Arrangement ziehen, sondern direkt zu Beginn etwas Interessantes und Geheimnisvolles enthüllen.

Untermalt von einer weichen Bass Line und temporeichen Rock Drums entsteht dabei eine sehr schwungvolle Atmosphäre, die von einer sich stets wiederholenden gesungenen Phrase bereichert wird. Auch die sich stellenweise überlagernden Vocals haben es uns angetan und verleihen dem Ganzen zusätzlich einen wunderbaren psychedelischen Touch. 'Lobotomy’ ist alles in allem eine äußerst dynamische Produktion, die außerdem auch mit reichlich Verzerrung und unglaublich coolen Riffs, überzeugt. Taking hints from the songs title, the mind altering images are a mix of chaotic and captivating as the main characters appear to have lost all sense of logic and utility. The modern choreography and girating movements are emphasized with eloquent pose from the videos female lead.

The repetitive cadence of the male vocal pairs well with the psychedelic vibe. With the impending Metaverse predicted to consume our ever changing world, the video provides an interesting commentary on what might ensue once we all get trapped inside our interplanetary goggles. Reality as we know it is in jeopardy. For some, sweet serenity will be enjoyed, but for others, a deeper devolution into the insanity of our psyche will be magnified ten-fold by absolute immersion.

There’s a lot of interesting imagery in this video, with each scene offering an interesting snapshot of artistic expression. Its a testament to the incredible effort that went into its creation, as the creators exhibit precise artistic vision and execution.

The underbelly of the song contains a healthy dose of Radiohead inspiration with modern indie sensibility. Mainly its rooted in Radiohead’s more rock heavy catalog, and in essence Petros Fuzzhead is all about getting lost in the vibe of the music.
