Petter Carlsen is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Alta, a small town in the far North of Norway. His style has changed dramatically, from his early influences dabbling in rock and heavy metal, the now 27-year old has converted to pop melancholy with a melodic and tender touch.
In 2006 Norways leading newspaper Dagbladet gave Petters critically acclaimed debut EP A Taste of Whats to come five out of six stars, saying that; ( ) this is nothing less than immensely impressive. Carlsen shows melodic strengths and the dot above the i is his voice, which is full of breathtaking feelings. Petter Carlsen, just learn the name, you will not be disappointed.
The rock n roll energy Petter portrayed in his early career has now transformed into another format, an intense touch of real and genuine feelings given through his angel like voice. Since the release of his EP, Petter has been touring all over Norway, performing at some of Norways biggest venues and music festivals and has been gigging in Russia. Through this he is now got English management and has been performing in the Englands North West and London.
Now, with producer Christer Andre Cederberg, Petter is recording what will be his debut album, which is to be released in early 2009.
