Petter Dahlgren is a guitarist and vocalist from Norway. In 2011, Petter released his critically acclaimed first solo album, ¨Waves¨ (Bliip Music). The 10 tracks on the album are a selection of songs from a variety of genres that Petter has written over the years.
It all started at Paul Mc'Cartneys Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts. After graduating in 2002, Petter went on to work a few years as a session musician in England before returning to his native Norway in 2007. Here he soon set up a studio and continued to write and record his music. While he played most of the instruments himself in the studio, he had Stig Sjøstrøm (drums), Kito Eriksen (bass), Vegard Øyen (keys) and Stine Barland Thorsen (backing vocals) alongside him for the live shows in 2011.
Petter´s latest attempt, the EP called ¨B¨ was released summer 2012. The 3 songs are of a more acoustic nature than his last effort. He has performed material from ¨B¨ live on national radio and after some successful gigs this summer, e.g. as support for Paal Flaata, more live dates will soon be announced.
Petter Dahlgren is one of the new and interesting artists emerging from Norway. You will hear more from him in the near future....
