Bio

"Pancake Eating Freaks win the best name award hands down... even better than their name though, is their music." - Joiners Promotions

“Pop-punk as tongue-in-cheek as Blink 182 and Sum 41. You’ll love them.” – Out To Win Promotions

The band started in 2004, recording their first EP in 2006. This EP sparked a lot of gigs around the south of England, two of the most acclaimed venues being the Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth, and the Joiners Arms, Southampton, and a long string of others. The band then self-released a ten track LP 'Hypnotic Rocket', with a launch party at the Joiners. This show was sold out, and CDs sold almost to capacity.

The Freaks are strongly fronted by Aaron Fenton & Tom Spooner, delivering vocal melodies and harmonies like you've never heard in pop-punk, and now with the addition of Luke Watson's guitars and vocals, the harmonies are even stronger, bringing a 'progressive' element to the band. Each member plays their instrument valiantly to a high skill level, and all are kept perfectly in time by drummer, Kyle Fenton.

The band has been on a short break to introduce their new member, but, since his joining, the band has picked up multiple gigs, and is stronger than ever thanks to this reinforced sound. New finely tuned songs have, and are, being written, and soon to be recorded, the Freaks are looking at another demo in 2009. It’s only a matter of time before the relentless wave of pop-punk once again fills the streets of the South.
