"Midnight Spotlight: P. Goods"

Each week, 889@Night will recognize local unsigned talent and promote their music on air as well as on our website. We highlight the talented few who got that “fire”. By the end of the week, we let our listeners choose whether they want these artists to be added to constant rotation or not. This week starting today, June 25, 2012, we are highlighting P. Goods and playing his music at midnight and 12:30 am every night this week.

P. Goods is a young talented artist from Boston, Massachusetts. P. Goods believes that music is his life force and he lives to help propel the rap game to a new level. He has tremendous energy at his live shows that his fans are really drawn to. P Goods has a unique style and works hard at his craft. He keeps his music personal and talks about life experiences. P is trying to deliver a new sound and energy to the local hip-hop scene. He has won numerous competitions in Boston and has performed at venues like Pufferbellies which has welcomed the likes of DMX and Joe Budden.

P. Goods recently released a mixtape in June called H.N.I.C. which is available on Reverb Nation and Datpiff. This 22 track mixtape allows P. Goods to display his rap skills. He raps over some original and some industry beats and flows very nicely over all of them. P. Goods is definitely somebody that can make an impact on the local rap scene.

We here at WERS believe that P is somebody to look out for this year. In a city filled with rising rappers, P can stand on his own two feet and impress. So please check out P. Goods on 889@Night on Monday night for a live interview and make sure you tune in all week to hear his music played at Midnight and 12:30am. - Malcolm J. Still working on that hot first release.

Music is a life force for this young artist. Spending most of his adolescence moving while his single mother worked to support him and his two younger siblings, Garvey found a way to cope with his struggles. At the tender age of nine, Garvey wrote his first song in his cousin's kitchen in Mattapan, MA. Now on the verge of graduating from Newbury College, Garvey has been working hard to transition Hip-Hop to a completely new level. His unique style and captivating energy draws in fans of all ages and backgrounds. His music relates to many other young people who went through similar battles growing up and urges people to never go back, work hard, and fight for what's important in your life. he has performed by the sides of King Los, Styles P, Rah Digga, Maino and been influenced by Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, DMX, 50 Cent, and Max B. P. Goods also directs a radio show that gives rising artists an opportunity to talk about and play their music. He delivers a new and clean sound that keeps the crowd bumping and on their feet!
