Phantom Fundamental

Chris Plumhoff, Jon Landis, Alex Mendenall, and Isaac Davis went to high school together in the small town of Mason, MI. Though they were all friends and musicians, they never played music as a group until 2 years after graduation. They finally played together for the first time in June of 2012 and after experiencing their sound, themselves, quickly joined as a band. Phantom Fundamental's formation in 2012 was the product of various lineups and years of musical composition. Their primary musical styling has its roots in the early music written by guitarist Chris Plumhoff in the mid 2000's. With his original work as a backdrop, the rest of the band's influence has molded Phantom Fundamental into something entirely unique. The group incorporates classical, folk, alternative, and art rock, fusing elements and styles from each into a rich, genre-defying sound. With Chris on lead guitar, Alex on rhythm and vocals, Jon on keyboard and vocals, and Isaac on drums, Phantom Fundamental creates an experience for their listeners unlike any other.
