PHANTOM VANITY

This is the first musical debut of PHANTOM VANITY, coming out Spring 2016. This Ep, 'Vintage Slacker' is composed of 5 tracks that speak about the trials and growth that humans endure on this small planet. Lead singer and co-producer Erin Boyd, brings a smokey sultry voice full of depth, musicality, and  truth. Born in New Jersey and raised in the south, Boyd took to music after realizing at 12 that she had a gift for writing and loved the stage. She studied at Boston Conservatory of music, and travel the world working with various artist before deciding to create something on her own.  She is backed by drummer and engineer, Bryan Morton. Morton made his first drum set at the tender age of two, with an upside down table, two ice cream buckets, a plastic rake and hoe as his drumsticks. After studying at Berklee College of Music, Morton moved out west to California and became the in-house engineer for Interscope.  He remained there for the next seven years that followed. He was able to work with the biggest names in the music industry, but that wasn't enough. Soon after he developed his own production company and joined forces with his friend of 14 years, of what would become known as the early beginnings of PHANTOM VANITY. One of the last components was Joey Secchiaroli; he served as the co-engineer and co-producer. Boyd, Morton, and Secchiaroli created a magical space for ingenuity. Secchiaroli is the lead singer and band leader of the fusion band, Reign of Kindo and also produces various projects out his New York City studio, Electric Canvas Music. 

PHANTOM VANITY isn't pigeoned holed into one genre of music; it's just that, music. Or, if we have to, it's the double FS genre, Funk/Folk/Soul.  PHANTOM VANITY is about bringing truth and inspiring dance within their listeners.  Music doesn't have to be for the pretty and ego driven. This music is about the music and transcending the limitations of genres and colors.  Many wonderful musicians came on board for this debut recording, Rob Lewis (MD Christina Aguilera), Nick Cassarino (Nth Power), Joseph Secchiaroli (Reign of Kindo), Dmitry Gorodetsky, Weedie Braimah ( Nth Power, Kreative Pandemonium), Steven Padin (Reign of Kindo), Rodney Flood (John Babb Trio), Joel Gonzalez (3CP), Nigel Hall (Soul Live), and Elena Canlas (Easy All Stars). With the recording process now completed PHANTOM VANITY, a band of warriors, are spreading their message of hope, love, and determination to make change; in this world of turmoil.
