Bio

At the heart of Phantom Of The Mind are Jason Cripps and Jeremiah MacIntyre. Joining forces in October of 2004, the two combined their diverse styles and influences to create a prolific stream of material that appears to have no end in sight. Writing and performing primarily as an acoustic duo, they quickly drew the attention of music lovers and fellow musicians alike. In the spring of 2005, the pair added drummer Adam Boulet, whose energy and influence had an immediate impact on the music. Suddenly…Phantom Of The Mind was a rock band. It was time to head into the studio. What started out to be a four song demo took on a life of it’s own once it got started, and eventually became a fourteen song album.

“Can’t Remember To Forget You” is an eclectic collection of songs which showcases the band’s divergent songwriting approaches and influences. From “Lennon-esque” classic rock sounds to contemporary acoustic pop, light folk to dark moody dirges, the songs have proven to entice to a remarkably wide audience. The obvious appeal of both the band and the album was not lost on new indie label Donnybrook Records, who seized the opportunity to sign them.

2006 has already been an exciting year for Phantom Of The Mind. With Donnybrook releasing the record on February 24th, a nomination for a 2006 London Music Award in the “Best Rock Band” category, and the addition of Brian Funk on bass, the band seems poised to have a serious impact on the Canadian music scene.
