A star was born one early morning in Savannah, Ga in 1976 to the world to become who he is today. Raise in a penecostal church this young boy sang the members off the benches with hyms and melodies to raise any spirit to christ.Since the age of 5 he participated in several school plays, PTA meetings, talent shows as well school pep rallies. Phatsoul is no stranger to the mic as he serenade us with a beautiful solid baritone voice that soothes the soul and wins the heart of many and not to mention an amazing personality to follow. Phatsoul started playing the piano for his church choir at an early age bringing the choir a new and different sound as he continue to build his found love for music. After being requested to be one of BET’s Soundstage performers in Savannah and 1st Place Winner at The Savannah Live as well Apollo Night in Savannah this young singer saw his future path being paved. He recorded his first underground single in 1995 title “When It Rains” that played on several local radio stations in Savannah where he was well known for his voice and talent.He then named himself to be known and respected for the artist he believe he’d be and with a large Savannah, South Carolina, Vidalia and Jacksonville fan base everyone knew the phenomenal singer as “Kassanova”. His name represented him well as family, friends & fans would say after encountering his stage performance, with a fly wardrobe topped off with a brim hat to match the singer dressed to impress while on stage giving his audience more than their monies worth as well as leaving them with something to remember - his voice, his style and how he rips the stage no matter where he performs. His influences are Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, O’jays, New Edition, Keith Sweat, Bobby Brown, Boyz II Men, Lenny Williams and many more. Always dreaming to meet these artist one day it saddens his heart to never get to meet the main artist that inspires him most Mr. Gerald Levert who he will truly miss and hopes to be like one day. “ This man is one of the reason I sing presently today”say Phatsoul. Phatsoul is now currently in the studio completing his debut album to share with world “I USED TO LOVE HER” written & produced by Phatsoul himself that is scheduling to hit nationwide in February 2007. “I’m giving the world a piece of me” says Phatsoul “ And I hope and pray that it does what it is intended to do”. Well for certain he has made a name for himself here in the ATL, performing at several venues by request such as shows for Black Ice Entertainment, Fon B Sol Entertainment, Sweet Auburn Festival, Apache, Charlotte Web Association , Royal Peacock, The Atlanta’s BRE, Velvet Room, Cutting Edge, Starbreakers, Strictly Outspoken, Eclectic Moments, Comcast, Simboya at Night etc.. Phatsoul has what you call passion for music that he says he will never let go no matter who and no matter what . “ There is nothing else I’d rather do than music” says the phenomenal singer “ I breathe this and this is what I was born to do - I ‘m certain”.
