Biography

Nasir (aka Phenom) Reid was born on July 16th 1998 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is known as the next Jay-Z because of his lyrics and skills as a producer at the age of 12 years old.
Phenom gained his passion for the music industry at the age of 7 years old, by learning his skills as a writer and producer from his father, Obeast (Obeast Entertainment). Phenom also obtain a passion for the trumpet and the drums as he got older. When he was 9 years old he was given the position as the lead trumpet player of a 30 piece orchestra band at Girard College, in Philadelphia. With the position of lead trumpet, it gave Phenom opportunities to perform for the mayor of Philadelphia and the alumni parties each year he attended Girard College.
Phenom started to be notice by local Philly artists (Rahim, Double Jeopardy, and Young Ant) where he performed with them at different venues as an opening act. As Phenom started to be well known around the Philadelphia area, he started working with a local group, Above the Limit, being featured on several songs. He performed with them for about a year and he decided it was time to branch off on his own and become a rap artist.
Phenom’s music career started to excel as he started writing and producing his own tracks to show his knowledge and skills as a young artist in the music industry. When Phenom turned 11 years old his family made a decision to move to Atlanta, Georgia to further his career and to obtain more exposure. Phenom has performed at Café` 290 (Who’s Got That Vibe Talent Search), where he perfomed his debut single "Everywhere I Go", as well as talent showcases in Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida. He has gained the attention of several artists and even industry executives who has shown interest in him because of his skills and undeniable talent, at such a young age.
Phenom’s single “Youngest in Charge”( which he wrote and produced) will be released soon on iTunes, Amazon, & Rhapsody. He will be releasing his mix tape and album in the summer of 2011. Look out for Phenom, because he is definitely “The Youngest Charge”
