BandRockClassic Rock

Classic rock and country covers, and GREAT originals.

Biography

Our lead guitarist, Joe, started playing guitar on a finger destroying Stella and played in rock bands around the Northeast for many years. Guy, our stick man, has drummed in bands all over Jersey. As a young 'un, John played in a band with Rodney Crowell down in Houston. The rest of us have varied musical pasts converging in a unique mix of a band. We have great fun playing for people who want to shake their
tambourine.

Lyrics

Broken White Line

Written By: Joe Colacino

Drivin down the road with miles to go

And an aching in my head

Running away won't set me free

From all the things she said

But I know I gotta go

Down that road

And where it goes

I don't know

I don't know

It's been three days and I'm in a haze

With no let up in sight

I've been driving all day long

And half way through the night

But I know I gotta go

Down that road

And where it goes

I don't know

I don't know

Chorus:

Well the road is my home

And I live here alone

I'll be chasing that broken white line

But it suits me just fine

Solo

You might think this ain't no life

Always running through the night

And you might think that I'm no good

And maybe you'd be right

But I know I gotta go

Down that road

And where it goes

I don't know

I don't know

Chorus:

Well the road is my home

And I live here alone

I'll be chasing that broken white line

But it suits me just fine

Wasn't Looking for Trouble

Written By: Joe Colacino

V1:
I wasn’t looking for trouble……….I wasn’t looking for you
But you came and you knocked on my door…………What else could I do?
But fall for you…………..and the way you do
You took me for a midnight ride
I couldn’t hold……on……tight…….to you

V2:
I was doing alright I guess………….Living day to day
They say that ignorance is bliss…….But you swept that all away
With the way you do………………..yeah, I fell for you
You took me for a midnight ride
I couldn’t hold……on……tight……to you

Chorus:

You turned my world upside down……like a hiiiiiighwaaaaaay wreck

But I think I’m gonna stick around……Just to see what happens next

I know that it can’t be good……………But I want it so bad

You’re the best……trouble that I ever had

Guitar Solo: same as chorus

V3:
I wasn’t looking for trouble…………….It just snuck up from behind
Yeah, I wasn’t looking for trouble………Now I’m gonna lose my mind
I fell for you……and the way you do
You want to take me for a ride
I’m gonna hold……on……tight……to you (x3)

Damage

Written By: Aurora King

V1 I see the damage from this head on collision
There’s no way out of this life or death decision
The lunatics have all left the path
They’re heading for you, ready to attack

SOFT

Ch1 Your sanity is fast receding

My words fall silent and my heart is bleeding
You stepped from the edge right before my eyes

V2 Though fate’s been kind and gave you all you need
No amount of anything will give you peace
And all you hate about everybody else
Is really what you hate about yourself

Ch 1 Your sanity is fast receding
My words fall silent and my heart is bleeding
You stepped from the edge right before my eyes

Ch 2 Your own horizon is fast retreating
My words fall silent but my heart is screaming
You fell from the edge right before my eyes

SOLO - one Chorus

V3
Fact or fiction you can’t tell the difference
You just can’t see the truth from this distance

I’d give everything, but it’s not here in me
You’re the only one to set yourself free

Ch 1 Ch2 + Hope you can fly

La Parguera

Written By: Joe Colacino

La Parguera

Verse 1:
She was a beauty walking down the beach
She smiled at me but she stayed out of reach
Long hair, shining raven black
An eagle ray tattooed on her back

Chorus:
La Parguera
Island in the sea
La Parguera
She’s got a hold on me

Verse 2:
In Arecibo they talk to the stars
To solve the cosmic mystery
But there’s more magic in these mangrove trees
Than they will ever see

Chorus

Bridge:
Late at night in the village square
The reggaeton fills the fragrant air
As the Parguerans come out to dance
The bay lights up like a thousand colored lamps

Solo

Chorus x2
Repeat 3x – She’s got a

Music of the Spheres

Written By: Joe Colacino

Music of the Spheres

Verse 1:

The music of the spheres
Is burning in my ears
And I fear, it’s all connected

Verse 2:
I thought I knew
What did I know?
I was only misdirected

Chorus 1:
The prophet was maligned
By intelligent design
And you can fight for your illusion
I will fight to the death for mine

Solo = 1 Verse + 1 Chorus

Verse 3:
It’s not new
It will never be old
It’s the greatest story…….ever told

Verse 4:
If they grew soybeans
To fill our big machines
Would we be dying to set them free?

Chorus 2:
The polar ice cap is melting
And flowing into the sea
The water level is rising
It’s just a matter…….. of degree

Verse 5:
The music of the spheres
Is burning in our ears
And though we hear……..Do we listen? Do we listen?
