"Five to See Live"

# 3 Phil Brumley Band:
"His soulful, honest pop country defies categorization, really. A voice guaranteed to melt the ladies into oatmeal." — Ayo Quick (102.1FM The Edge) - Dallas Morning News

"The Village Church"

We appreciate you and the band's efforts and entertainment for the evening. Expectations were met, exceeded and all enjoyed!!! You have put together a good sound (the violin is a great touch), and really have some great versatility in sound. The whole band exudes passion for what you do. - Lainey Wilkinson

"Dallas Music & Art Critic"

"PBB has surprised a lot of people but probably none so much as me. The first time I heard them live, they were a three piece band profiling Dave Matthews tunes and staring into an empty tip jar in a coffee shop. Now, the live performance these guys bring is unmatched by any act I've seen in recent past." - Julian Morrow

"Youth Pastor"

“The Phil Brumley Band led us to the throne of God in worship. These guys really connected with our students and with God. Their style is relevant to today's teenagers. They are just simply humble worshippers of God. Thanks for ministering to us PBB.”

Sincerely,
Jeremy White
Youth Pastor
Lake Highlands Baptist Church
Dallas, Texas - Jeremy White

"Worship Leader"

“I have known Phil for most of his life and have been touched by his love for the Lord and the possibilities of his obviously anointed ministry. Phil prepared our congregation for the Holy Spirit to move and work in a way that is still bearing fruit. His songs are performed from the heart and his heart is given to him by the Spirit. Phil works with people in any way that can help any situation. This undemanding and humble manner paves the way for the Lord to work miracles. I thank God for Phil and pray the Lord will continue to bless him.”

Sincerely,
Dwaine Hubbard
Worship Leader
First United Methodist Church
Carthage, Texas - Dwaine Hubbard

"Worship Artist"

“So glad you guys were able to make it out last night. It was great to meet you. We popped your CD in on the way back home and I will now quote our guitar player, Jason who said, “This is the best demo we’ve ever been given.” I agree. You guys have something special. Keep at it.”

Grace and Peace,
David Crowder
David Crowder Band - David Crowder

"KLTY Now Magazine"

Phil began his music career early, becoming a worship leader in an East Texas church at the age of 17. He continued to work in churches until 2001, when he moved to Dallas and began branching out in his ministry. He formed the Phil Brumley Band in 2002 and began doing worship for all denominations. Phil has led worship for youth rallies with such artist as The Katinas and Natalie Grant and has also done numerous youth camps and church events. His future plans are to continue to lead worship in a concert form in various venues. - CCM/Lindsay Greene

Bio

Born in early 2002, guitarist Phil Brumley partnered with drummer Tahle Kirk to work on a recording project and write songs. Together, they began weekly writing sessions, trading notes and inspiration. Early gigs included coffee shops and bookstores, where sets consisted of covers by U2, Dave Matthews Band and Martin Sexton as well as a handful of originals. Phil and Tahle continued to form a concept for PBB while looking to add more musicians.

A year later, Brian James (keyboard) was recruited after answering an online post. For more than a year PBB performed at local venues developing a fan base and journaling their experiences. During this time they were selected as one of five finalists to compete in the "Rising Star Competition" hosted by 94.9 KLTY, the largest Christian Radio station in the nation. "What A Friend" was featured on air during the morning show with Frank Reed and a local recording engineer took notice of PBB and offered to do their first EP, "Listen" for minimal cost. After "Listen" was released in early 2004 the group took on more concert dates while still looking for other musicians.

After meeting Jason Fargason (violin) at a party in Dallas, Texas, the band welcomed his talents to the PBB stage in July 05’. The added dynamic of an electric violin meant that PBB’s sound was changing. Almost a year later Mike Hankins (bass) became a permanent fixture in the group giving a completely different edge to their sound. “We just began to re-invent ourselves”, Brumley said. “Our beginnings were modest but we were ready for more, much more”.

In August of 2006 PBB entered the studio with new producer Martin Baird to begin work on their sophomore album. They are currently working towards completion of that project.
