Beginning as a side project to his band Watson Park (myspace.com/watsonpark), Philip Dunn decided in 2007 to take the solo step beyond his bedroom. He finds comfort in opening up his "journal/notebook" writings in the form of singing. He acquired the title 'songwriter' from the moment he took up piano at the young age of four.
However, the 'singer' role was the harder part for Dunn to find. After countless choir rehearsals and private vocal lessons, he wasn't satisfied enough with his voice to begin the solo route. But the moment he heard Copeland, Muse, and Lovedrug (which happened to be all in the same week), he knew exactly the path he wanted to take.
Philip Dunn is planning a month long tour in spring/summer '08 from Kentucky to the west coast where he will set up fort in Los Angeles for a few months. Until then, look for him in and around the Ohio Valley region!
