"Review"

Hey all!
The good A+R people over at Taxi took the time to have a wee listen to some music of mine and I'm all chuffed with their great reviews!
I'll not bore y'all with the full spiel, but some of the comments include...

(On 'A million minds'...)

''Nice intro - had me interested right away. And then it goes to really interesting places with great sectional contrast.''

''Bold and confident - I'm really enjoying this, Philip! Love the Beach Boys influence in the bridge.''

''Extremely impressive. I really enjoyed hearing this one. It demonstrates real artistic vision but does so within the context of an accessible, melodic, hooky pop song. That's not easy to do.''

''You're speaking my language, Philip. This takes chances, but most importantly, those chances pay off. ''

Bio

Philip John is the full musical package...singer, musician, arranger, producer and writer. From a young age, it was obvious that Philip had music in his bones and from mastering several instruments to displaying an outstanding ear for harmony, he always seemed destined to have a career in music. From pop to classical music and everything in between, as a youngster Philip absorbed it all, and broke most conventional rules of listening in regards to what was considered trendy. This mix and match of styles and influences can be heard manifesting themselves in his unique sound today, the roots of which embrace everything from Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, and Stevie Wonder to Ennio Morricone and the classics. Performance wise, he has honed his talent over the past few years and stints in the RTE Philharmonic choir and Irish pop band 'Reel' have served as worthy stepping stones on his journey and evolution as a solo artist. After two years of recording in Dublin with producer Peter Eades, Philip is finally ready to unleash his debut album on the ears of the world. Entitled 'Master the Monster' it is a musical treat that grabs attention from the off and does not let go for a second. Brimming with engaging hooks, beautifully orchestrated melody, and an unmistakable vocal style complimented by layers of catchy harmony arrangements all performed by himself, it is obvious to all that Philip has finally created a deserving outlet for his unique talent.
