Bio

Saxophonist, Pianist, Bassist, Trip Hop/Experimental Beat Maker, and Hip Hop Producer Philippe Edison got his break in 2005 opening and performing with Euge Groove, Down To The Bone, Shilts, Katisse Buckingham, Maysa, and the Yellow Jackets at the 2005 Houston International Jazz festival,and went on to open & perform with Shilts, Chris Standring, Greg Karukas, Ruben Studdard, and The Sax Pack in 2006 and 2007.

in 2008 He attended Prairie View A&M University, while there he fell in love with Gospel and Neo Soul while performing with Michael Dixon & VisZion, but after a year he decided to make the move to Berklee College of Music. where he studied Music Business / Electronic Production & Sound Design while simultaneously performing & jamming with other Berklee artist like Uyanga Boldbataar, Soul For Yo System, Melange, and many more

within a year his style as a Saxophonist grew towards a Hip Hop influenced Jazz Fusion he say's is modeled after influences:

The Robert Glasper Experiment,
Kenneth Whalum Quartet,
Stefon Harris & Blackout,
Roy Hargrove,
RH Factor,
Herbie Hancock & Head Hunters,
his mentor Mike Phillips and many more.

Spring 2010 Philippe became a beat maker & producer looking only to seek the attention of other artist by remixing songs by J Dilla, Jesse Boykins III, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and many more but as he grew he became to love it more and developed into a highly demanded Beat Maker & Producer heavily influenced by Pete Rock, J Dilla, Flying Lotus, & AFTA-1. October 2010 he released his first beat tape "Cosmic Soul Vol.1" followed by his first EP entitled "1989" released in Jan.2011 mirrored after Flying Lotus' EP "1983"

while at Berklee he performed in the 2010 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in New York with the Berklee J Dilla ensemble and shared the stage with artist:
