Bio

Phillip Glyn and his band put on the kind of show you don't see everyday. This is a band that takes a great amount of pride not only in the high energy of their stage show, but also their ability to completely change styles and genres at the drop of hat. Original country music, top notch covers, zydeco, southern rock, R&B, and even modern rock favorites are all a part of the show.

Phil himself has been the front man of two of Louisiana's most celebrated (and infamous) regional acts. First, with the LA Yard Dogs (who were finalists in both the Ticketmaster Music Showcase and The Best of Texas Music Showcase - both contests with over 3000 bands vying for the honor), and then with Static, a hybrid zydeco/rock band who's singles still recieve spins daily on local Louisiana radio stations, as well as being the music of choice for the local FOX television network's ads. He recorded his self-titled and critically acclaimed solo release in 2006 under the tutalage of producer Kevin Beamish, who's credits include hit songs with REO Speedwagon and Kenny Chesney.

The band was formed in the summer of '06 to tour in support of the album. Bandleader and bassist Josh Norman is a well known and respected singer/songwriter in the Texas music scene. Guitarist Darren McGill is the son of legendary Texas bluesman Scott McGill, and is carving out a legend all his own. Lucky Sprague hails from the state of Iowa, and has played alongside some of the finest country, bluegrass, R&B, and cajun acts in Louisiana. Drummer Jeremy Wilson hails from Wichita, Kansas, and has done stage time with such acts as Andy Griggs and Phil Vassar.

Together, these five accomplished musicians mix and match the various styles and genres they come from, to come up with a sound that is uniquely theirs and theirs alone. Some people call it country...

They don't care what you call it, as long as you dance to it.
