Philmont released their highly anticipated "Take Cover EP" in February of 2006 and are currently working the local music scene in Charlotte and surrounding areas. They spent the summer on a 3 week tours consisting of shows every night w/ no breaks. In December they'll record their second EP at the Black Lodge Studios in Kansas with Producer Ed Rose (Emery, Brantson, Motion City Soundtrack, Reggie and the Full Effect, Etc)

Philmont is the result of Four seasoned musicians who got fed up with the local music scene. Four guys who have a passion for music and were tired of going out and seeing a carbon copy of the same local band with the same grungy sound every night in every venue. Each member split from their previous band to unite together and form a new face in local music in the summer of 2005. Philmont prides itself on a catchy sound, heartfelt lyrics and to top it all off, a live show that will blow the audience away. With a highly anticipated EP release with recording legend Ed Rose, this isn't your everyday garage band, this is Philmont.
