Biography

Phil Naro is a singer/songwriter who has put in more time earning his "Badge of Honor" within the International music community. His odyssey began in his hometown of Rochester, New York at the ripe old age of fifteen where he commenced to perfect his craft by performing in a variety of popular High School/Bar Bands prior to relocating to Toronto, Canada in 1978. Upon his arrival in the Great White North, Phil joined Chain Reaction who subsequently released their debut album "X-Rated Dream" on Attic Records. Despite the album's outstanding review in Britain's "Kerrang!" magazine and an intense tour schedule of 600 shows in less than two years, Chain Reaction soon dissolved. Upon returning home to Western New York, Phil indulged himself by constantly writing and recording songs with other musicians in Rochester and Buffalo prior to being recruited by the World's greatest Bass Player, Billy Sheehan to be the throat of Talas in 1983. With only eight performances with Talas under his belt, Phil and the rest of the Band recorded "Live Speed On Ice" at L'Amour in New York City. "Live Speed On Ice " made the Top 10 Charts in both England and Japan simultaneously while Talas pounded out a tour of Heavy Metal uniqueness in America by performing with many of the day's top attractions such as Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Anthrax, White Lion, Quiet Riot and Iron Maiden. When Billy left Talas in the Fall of 1985 to join David Lee Roth's solo Band, Phil carried on with the Group a bit longer before he hooked up with Canadian AOR Giants Coney Hatch for a Summer tour, replacing James LaBrie (Dream Theater) as the Band's charismatic frontman. Phil has also collaborated with ex-Kiss Drummer Peter Criss and ran the helm of "The Catman's" solo Project while he enhanced his natural songwriting talent by creating an abundance of killer tunes with Peter. Two songs from those sessions entitled "Bad People" and "Blue Moon Over Brooklyn" appeared on Criss' 1995 release "Cat .1". Ironically, Phil was strongly recommended to Peter by legendary Producer Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Jimi Hendrix) and "The Demon" himself, Gene Simmons. While Phil's impressive credentials are far too extensive to list here (they would fill a set of encyclopedias!) some key ones include writing songs for Lee Aaron's 1989 multi-platinum selling album "Body Rock", and studio work with Lou Gramm of Foreigner and Grammy winning Producer Tom Lord-Alge (Billy Joel, The Cure, Steve Winwood, Marilyn Manson, Rolling Stones). Phil's most recent accomplishments are his appearance on the Liberty N' Justice Records compilation entitled "Soundtrack Of A Soul" (His contribution to this All-Star endeavor which also features Sebastian Bach of Skid Row, Mark Slaughter, and Joe Cerisano of Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the track "Hope and Pray/Ballad of King David") and teaming up with Kim Mitchell on the Canadian Icon's forthcoming (yet untitled) album which is due for release in late 2006. Although he's had his share of difficulties and set backs like anybody else in this world, Phil Naro is a bona-fide Survivor. This man truly believes in himself, and the music he conceives is an inspiration to us that anything in life is possible. dreams can be realized and obstacles in whatever form they may appear as can be overcome. Phil's odyssey continues....with no end in sight. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In spare time, wich is seldom.. Phil lends his amazing vocals to Television and appears in video.

BEST PEOPLE

Written By: PHIL NARO

THE BEST PEOPLE YOU WILL EVER KNOW

I wrote a book about my life quit some time ago
I sold about 10 copies that's what I've been told
My Mom & Dad bought seven of them, gave them away for Christmas gifts.

I pick it up for the 1st it was laying their for years
Read a few pages and just broke down in tears
Mom & Dad went to the Moon and back for me and my only brother Joe

Still till this day it's stands, my folks are the best people you will ever know.

The family was the 1st and foremost in their lives
Building a foundation then everything came in time
294 Elision Street was the place you had to see

Called it little paradise, on a frosty winter's night
Even the rain made, endless wonder & delight
Mom & Dad made it that way, brought in the love every single day.

Still till this day it's stands, my folks are the best people you will ever know. If you met, you'd understand, my folks are the best people you will ever know.

I hope theses are the right words to express
Deep and profound thankfulness?
Is this song enough to pay a debt
So great I'll never forget?

Solo:

The last chapter of my book has come to a end
Brother Joe & I have our own families to attend
Carrying on a tradition doing the best that we can

Things are little different now my home broken into two
Starting over is not a easy thing to do
I have love a lots of support, kids, and a girl who love's me to.

Still till this day it's stands, my folks are the best people you will ever know. If you met, you'd understand, my folks are the best people you will ever know. Role models of the 1st degree, my folks are the best people you will never know.

I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE

Written By: PHIL NARO

I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE

Hey girl - I know what's like not being in with the crowd
I've been there myself – baby
Don't take it to heart now.

Don't cry – I know it's not easy when they put you down
It seems like your world – baby
Never got off the ground.

I know, I know, I know yeah it's gonna be alright
Your gonna rise above the crowd
and show them what your made of.

Your lonely -all -you want is someone to play with
Someone you can call a friend
I feel what your going through.

Don't give up -it's – not the end of the world
If they can't eccept you for what you are
They will be losing out.

I know, I know, I know yeah it's gonna be alright
Your gonna rise above the crowd
and show them what your made of
Your day's will come shining through
Believe in what I say, unseen eyes are watching you.

Neglected your the world outside you
The laugh and talk and call you names
You try to make friend's girl – but in the end they push you away

I know, I know, I know yeah it's gonna be alright
Your gonna rise above the crowd
and show them what your made of
Your day's will come shining through
Believe in what I say, unseen eyes are watching you.

I know what it's Like....
I know what it's like....

SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

Written By: Phil Naro & Steve Major

Spiritual Revolution

Send a message, loud and clear
Everyone now far and near
Love, forgivness there's nothing to fear
Harmony will get us through the years

Nation to nation, pre-occupation
Love for one another, let's make the transfromation

Brother to brother's Sister to sister's

Brother to brother's Sister to sister's

Time is all, we need to make this break
Love is all, for everyone to make

Nation to nation, pre-occupation
Love for one another, let's make the transfromation

Chorus:

Take the time look high everything will be alright
Take flight, time's right, don't give up the fight
I may be dreaming but I'm not the only one

Nation to nation, pre-occupation
Love for one another, let's make the transfromation

(spoken)
Brother to brother
Sister to sister
Time is all we need
For love is all

Chorus

My Country Girl

Written By: PHil Naro, John Rogers, Roger Banks & Chris Cambon

MY COUNTRY GIRL

I saw her snatch her purse from the window sill
Then she blew me a great big kiss
So I went all the way down to the liquor store
But I knew I would miss her whole family
She grabbed my bag of chips and ate them all
So I beat her up and down the stairs
Well she can’t help it, no she can’t help it
She’s just a country girl at heart
And she left me with my heart on my sleeve
She jerked me off my horse to kiss me
And I felt it in the balls of my feet
She said “You are so lucky
you’re addicted to love”
But I couldn’t get her to come with me
