Bio

I've had local and national recognition of my music and group. These are listed in the LINKS lection of my website www.baltimorebass.com. Baltimore Jazz Alliance and the Baltimore Composer's Forum have included my song "Hard At Work" in their annual Jazz Composer's Concert. My tunes "Ahamay" and "A Kiss Goodbye" havebeen included on their Compilatin cd's. My group is also performing those tunes on that project.

The group has performed in Baltimore on several occasions at Lexington Market. We have also perfromed at the Baltimore Convention Center, have worked for The Mayor's office on Foreign Affairs, The University of Maryland (Baltimore), Artscape (finalist in the Chick Webb Competition), The Clay Ball (Baltimore Clay Works). The group perfromed one of my original jazz suites at a concert sponsored by the Music Department of Goucher College 's Ars Nova Program in conjunction with the Baltimore Composer's Forum. We have also perfromed at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. The group will be performing at the Peadbody Prep in a concert of new music that is sponsored by the Baltimore Composer's Forum and the Baltimore Music Club on February 15th 2009,

The 2007 Billboard International Song Contest Awarded me Honorable mention for two of My Original Tunes These are In The back door (a jazz/funk fusion tune) and Blue Sunshine ( a straight ahead Jazz tune)

My original tunes are inspired from the events that I observe during the day. It is an ecclectic blend of music and musical styles The Group was featured in an article in the January 2006 edition of the Baltimore Jazz Alliance’s publication.

Four of my songs are included in the Baltinmore Real Book which was published in 2007 by the Baltimore Jazz Alliance

It's hard to name the influences on my music, ther a re so many from different genre's. If I had to pick one it would be watching any energetic group perform live with passion for their music as well as quiet elegance. The passion, elegance, and fun of live performance is what I try to communicate in my songs and performances.
