Bio
In December 2003, “PHIVE” was just a mere thought to drummer Ernest Ruiz, but by the end of 2003 he had put in some calls to fellow musicians and friends Mike Gregory (Keyboards) and Tom Engle (Bass). “PHIVE” made their debut January 27, 2004, in Corpus Christi, Texas. The band went through several vocalists including blues singer Rocky Benton, until June of 2004 when Hilda Lamas (Vocalist) was added to the mix. “PHIVE” had not had a female vocalist before so this opened up a wide array of musical genres, but at the same time put the band back at square one. After a month of rehearsals a more refreshed “PHIVE” took the stage once again. The band recently added the musical talents of Eddy Lee Skipwith (Guitar), and the smooth seasoned sound of “PHIVE” continues to impress audiences with each of their performances. With a busy schedule which includes bookings through out the rest of the year and well into 2006, “PHIVE” is currently working on their debut album due out later this year with Hacienda Records.
