"Phoebe's "Thanks Mom EP""

With the release of the Thanks Mom EP, Phoebe bring a new feel to a classic genre. Lush with addicting progressions, an edgy rock vocal style, and a sonic wall of sound, the record boasts the aesthetic of classic rock anthems. Though the songs are diverse from one another, there is a glue that holds them all together much like a concept album. Most importantly, the record never loses sight of the emotional platform great songs are built from.

The first single, “Everybody’s On The Loose” is an upswing radio rock powerhouse. Complete with a catchy chorus, destructive lead guitar sections, and a riot rock attitude, the song seems to build and breathe as it plays on.

“I wanted to write a song that exposed our society for a lot of the messed up things we do to each other. That’s why the topics throughout the song range from human trafficking to corruption to something even as petty as just down-right being indecent to each other. On the surface, it seems like it’s only about letting loose and doing what you want, and I did want to portray that but it also tries to serve the purpose of a wake-up call. Simply put, be free, just don’t be a dick", explains songwriter Aidan Sisler of the bands single.

Although the single does speak volumes for the EP, to get a real understanding of where Phoebe are coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.

“This has been one of the grooviest songs we’ve written. Honestly, movement is a big part in music and when you can make a crowd move, you’ve hooked them. Despite Bonham, Plant, Jones, and Page being great musicians and having amazing chemistry, you could dance to their music and that set them apart", says Sislerof the album and evolution in songwriting.

Good friends since childhood, Aidan Sisler and Francis Kreiner were always avid music listeners but it wasn’t until Sisler met Kreiner that musical doors were really opened. Introducing him to blues, punk, and a lot of good classic rock, Sisler enjoyed learning about the writing process as the two covered songs and began writing originals together. As time went on, their influences started changing and so did the duo’s songwriting style. As they continued to perform, the sound became cleaner and more mature. The two picked up a drummer and performed plenty over the years helping them hone in on their style all together. Once they lost their drummer, they decided to start something fresh. It was then that Phoebe was born.

After winning the Atlanta Battle Of The Bands competition in 2014, and tons of live shows, the guys are not new to working a crowd and are always writing new material for upcoming releases.

The Thanks Mom EP is now available for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the band is planning upcoming performances in support of their release.
