Oregon native Phoebe Blume has a rich, dusky, resonant voice that often harkens back to another era. “One Hit Wonder Drug” is a playful number in which she pays tribute to her lover. “Hot and Sweet” treads similar territory. Both suggest intelligence as well as sex appeal and lean more toward classic torch pop than rock.
