Los Angeles based comic and actor Phoebe Ventouras is making a name for herself in the alt comedy scene in Los Angeles. Phoebe sets herself apart with her wit, timing, and honest exploration of subjects many comics would find taboo: her love of classical music and old people, her prissy female toilette, and misplaced formality in a cool casual world. Your grandmother would love Phoebe but not after she opens her mouth.
Phoebe recently had a successful run of her one-woman comedy show "I'm Doing the Best I Can" at the Hollywood Fringe Festival where she lampooned herself, exposing her hilarious struggle with her creative demons. The show is a love letter to procrastination and the creative process. Bob Leggett of the Hollywood Examiner called her show "incredible" and a "definite must see".
A huge fan of contemporary comics, her favorite movie remains the Marx Brothers "Night At The Opera". Phoebe has appeared in a number of national commercials and has performed standup in LA and New York in dive bars, clubs, theaters, and a terrifying room filled with clown memorabilia. A proud Texan, she hails from Dallas.
