Sheer Essence was formed in 2007 by a sophisticated female background singer in Houston, TX. With the humorous, passionate, and talented Kim Williams on lead vocals and the band from another planet "Da Formula" with solid instrumentation Sheer Essence has a different and unique sound that captivates the audiences as they set foot upon the stage.
To Sheer Essence music is not just entertainment; it is art, expression, and life. When audiences experience Sheer Essence they are able to witness the vibe and connection that they produce every time they hit the stage. Members of Sheer Essence are writers; their original material has connected with all genders which celebrates womanhood and relationships all while being real and straight forward. The connection is believed to be based on the heart and passion that they portray through their music.
Sheer essence has been influenced by some of the world's most phenomenal artists such as Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Destiny's Child, TLC and Aaliyah.
