"Interview with United Conciousness Magazine"

Where were you born?

I was born in Guyana, South America, a beautiful country north of Brazil.

When were you born?
November 1st 1976... Scorpio Dragon in full force.

How long have you been a dj?

I've been a dj for about six and a half years now.

What style of music do you spin?

I spin primarily progressive with progressive breaks mixed in.

How exactly would you describe your sound?

I'd describe it as deep, chugging and driving, but beautiful and expansive at the same time.

Which artists have influenced your sound?

Definitely Sasha and Digweed, but also James Holden, Max Graham, Cary Chang and Luke Chabel.

How long have you been a promoter?

I've been throwing events for about 5 years now.

What is Soldiers of the Underground?

I initially created Soldiers of the Underground as an events organization company. It was the name under which I threw all my parties and it represented all the individuals in the underground dance culture that had a true love for the scene and supported it. It has now evolved into a record label, Soldiers of the Underground Records. Last year I released a compilation "Passion" which featured West Coast producers like Noah Pred, Jacob Cino, Osiris Indriya and Damon Shea.

Where do you see the future of the dance culture?

I'm uncertain, but I know the music will always live on and transform into new expressions. It'll be interesting to see where it goes but the music will never die.

Are you producing music as well?
Oh yeah, I've had a couple releases on compilatons in the past year. Right now I'm in the studio working on my EP. I'm hoping to have it out by the fall of 2006.

What type of software do you use to produce your music?

Cubase SX, Reaktor and Ableton Live.

Who are some of your inspirations?

Evan Bluetech from San Fransisco without a doubt. The guy is a musical genius and I hope to someday attain his level of mastery.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

(Laughs..) Well, I HOPE to be living off my music in a tropical climate, that would be my ideal. I also want to really develop my record label and release more artists on it.

What are your plans for this coming year?

I want to focus on my album right now and develop a strong base for my record label as well.
