Once upon a time three Jumbo Video employees (Chris, Phil & Johnny) were thrown out of work when their store closed. Having no life skills, they started a Rush cover band called the Xanadudes. Chris was Neil Peart, Johnny was Alex and Phil was Geddy Lee. The Xanadudes quickly rocketed to fame and fortune in the local cover-band scene.
Meanwhile Sister Mandi was expelled from the Our Sister of Perpetual Perpetuity and Tradition for posing on the cover of that Monks LP that everyone says is really good but kinda really isn't. She was hired to play the wacky neighbor on the Xanadudes' sitcom (they had a sitcom) and quickly took over the show, not unlike Steve Urkel did on Family Matters.
In episode "#31F: Zilla in the Villa" the gang rented a bootleg copy Lord of The Rings created by Godzilla while on vacation in Malaysia. It is worth noting at this point that Godzilla is into video piracy. MPAA president Jack Valenti transformed the Xanadudes into Pianosaurus Rex with his Jar Jar Witchin Stick. They wrote a bunch of new songs and started playing shows and such...
