Pierre Tha Southern Supastar Pierre, who is also known by the surname "Tha Southern Supastar", is a rapper as well as a spoken word poet. As the only son of Haitian immigrants, his parents viewed hip hop as loud, abrasive, demeaning, & violent. So they tried to steer Pierre away from this sub-culture of urban America. However nothing could keep him away from this art form that he loved so much. Some of his major influences in music are Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, 2pac, Biggie, Jayz. But he really was motivated to write music when he heard "brenda's got a baby" by 2pac. Pierre was born & raised in Boynton Beach Florida with his 4 sisters. His mother migrated to America in 1976 and his father followed shortly after. He began listening to hip hop at the tender age of 6 and began penning his own rhymes at 12. Some of His early favorites were 2pac, snoop, & Ice cube, just to name a few. Upon losing many friends & family to gun violence & imprisonment, Pierre decided to make a change. He began to make music that would benefit his fellow man and not be a detriment to him. Along with sharing the same stage with artists such as Crossmovment's Da T.R.U.T.H, the Ambassador, & the Texas based Dooney Da Priest, he aspires to be also one of the hip hop personas that our children can look up to and their parents can b proud of...to sum it all up: Pierre Tha Southern Supastar just wants to make a difference.
