working together since 1997 alex (27) and andi (28) get in touch with ben (26) in 2002 while recording some songs in a studio. from this moment pilot changes from a studio project to a band. the journey of pilot starts.
the three were very into writing&arrangements and puzzled as far as intended. during a regular live show in cologne in 2004 wölli (ex-drummer of Die Toten Hosen) and owner of an indie-label was standing in the crowd. impressed by the complexity of the songs and the grandiose live-sound the collaboration on the first record could begin.
already with their debut "debut" the german press has been stunned.
with their outstanding sound for a german rockband pilot soon found friends in the sucessful german band silbermond who gave pilot the chance to play as opener on their tour in january/february 2005 and open airs 2005.
during the last one and a half year pilot were working on new songs. today they hold a new record in their hands which is in the starting blocks to be released called "mein name ist".
pilot are ready to rock the stages accross the world with their personal hymns for everyone.
