Pink Cigarette is a band on the rise. With tight production values, searing vocals and a committment to musicianship, this is one group not afraid of success.
Fresh from a successful gig at O'Briens in Allston, Pink Cigarette graciously spared a few moments to speak with this reporter.
How do you characterize your musical style?
PC: Well, we do a rock/blues sort of sound, with some pop and some funk. It's really funny, one of our friends calls it "sex rock" which is kind of weird but actually really true.
What are your goals as a group?
PC: What we want is to tour, to become friends with the fans, to really communicate with people through our music. To play at the House of Blues would be amazing, but right now we just want to connect with our fans in the more intimate venues so that they get a good idea of what we are all about.
So the fans are an important part of the band's development?
PC: Absolutely. Without the fans we are nothing and we want people to come out, see our shows, enjoy themselves and have fun. It;s the relationship with each person that is the key to our success.

Pink Cigarette is an eclectic, energetic and emotional rock band with a rapidly developing, unique sound. Pink Cigarette draws influence from a wide range of sources, and the individual members each bring a completely unique sonic perspective and interpretation to the table.
