Pink Pony

Pink Pony is a newly formed female fronted band with punk, country, and blues influences. Natasha Drazich is a former member of Red Soda, a New York based band that toured on the east coast from 1998-2002 and was a CMJ Festival entry for two of those years. Natasha spent years producing, writing and performing with this male fronted guitar driven trio. While appearing to be a supportive member of this project she was in fact the vital half of the song writing duo. Her sometimes spare song structures are risky but are completed by carefully placed vocal harmonies. Her songwriting craft is becoming more mature in the sense of understanding the wisdom of simplicity. Now operating with total creative autonomy it appears that she has discovered the breathing room to explore a lighter approach to songwriting that results in a quirky interplay of punk, country, and blues. Influences range from PJ Harvey, Patsy Kline, Bob Dillan, Neil Young, to the Pixies and Sonic Youth.
