Pirri

Pirri is actually a solo project with a band name by Heavy Metal guitarist Chris Pirri.

Chris started playing guitar at the age of 16. He took lessons on and off for a few years, which is how he met Pete Swann, who was teaching guitar at the time.
Chris and Pete hit it off instantly and he took lessons from Pete until he decided to enroll in Humber Colleges' music program. Chris ended up making it into the “Preparation For Year 1” course, or "Prep Year” as everybody called it. Around this time he also released his first demo, an 8-song cassette recording titled ”Not Really Eccentric”. After Prep Year, Chris spent his time playing in various Heavy Metal bands in and around Toronto, The most notable of these were Absolute Zero and psychLoNE.

After playing in psychLoNE, Chris began writing his own material for a solo project. The music can best be described as a combination of the melodic sounds of “Old School” Metal and the Bone-Shattering Heaviness of Modern-Day Metal. Influences range from classic Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden all the way to newer bands like Cradle of Filth.
A plan was put together to make a CD containing the best of these songs and to use the mass marketing/distribution potential of the internet to get the music out there.

The CD contains 10 songs, and is now available online through the PIRRI website. The "Band that isn't a Band” also features Pete Swann of Attitude Productions on drum machine/bass/keyboards and various studio chores.
Singing duties have been split between Dave La Fame and Jason Orton.
