Pistol Apes Payback was formed in 2006 when brothers Jesse James and Tommy Monaghan started writing material inspired by classic songwriters like Elvis Costello, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash. Soon the brothers had over fifty tunes in the works, and enough material for an EP. In the fall of 06’ they entered the studio with Jesse James on bass and Tommy covering, vocals, drums, and guitar. The Pistol Apes Payback sound is like a cross between the Talking Heads, The Beatles and Beck. Please let these Pistol Apes into your heart.
