Peter Linus came to spotlight in the Nigerian gospel Industry in 2009, emerging from a church gospel choir, Pita is no stranger to the gospel Music industry or leading worship at Christian events and festivals.
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, into both a pastoral and musical family, by the age of seven peter had started singing at his local childrens choir,upper mission church, lagos city where he sang every sunday.
In 2001 peter joined a six man acapella group called Babysheart touring various university campuses, churches and christian events across Nigeria, the group still tours today.
Peter has since then collaboratively and individually embarked on various gospel projects that have led to him to work with some of the most prominent names in Nigeria, the worlds most populous black country, names such as Segun Obe, Tosin Martins,Olufunmi, B.O.Q.U.I, Pastor Aity to name just a few, such projects have established publicity,and established a solid fan base in the city of Lagos, Nigeria.
In 2009 Peter embarked on a solo career, hence adopting the PITA (Praise in this Age) a reflection of his ministry and calling to draw men and women to the Gospel through Music. Since then Pita has toured over 200 churches, universities campuses and christian events in various cities across Nigeria,He has also written 50 songs and since released four singles including 'one man' the theme song used for Nigerias 2011 presidential campaign.
Pita has also been nominated Best New Artiste in the scepters award (National Gospel Awards) Nigeria,due to take place in the Autumn.
Pita is currently working on releasing his debut Album 'As I am' due out in the Autumn.
